What Makes a Great Developer? – Blog – Added Bytes
They’re very easily bored by repetitive work (see laziness) and spend most of their time ploughing through it looking for an interesting and challenging (and hopefully new) problem to solve. The less time they can spend on the repetitive, the higher the frequency of the challenges.
I found that the quote above most accurately describes me; I hate doing the same thing over and I love learning new stuff.

Somebody has taken the time to break down this text and analyze the heck out of it… Pretty cool!
Worth reading if you’re doing any presentations. I’m looking forward to hearing Scott speak at NDC2008 this summer.

Somebody figured out how to use symbolic links and a playlist to make it possible to rip all your dvds and then play them back on an extender. Sweet!

So, yesterday I finally started in my new job here @ Bouvet! I’m loving it so far!
What am I doing now? I’m working my way through the BizTalk 2006 R2 tutorials, pretty easy stuff, but interesting. It’s definitely a new angle to development. The modeling aspect is very cool! And there are so many tiny details that I have no idea why are the way they are. I just love new tech like this! In two weeks I’ll be attending a “Getting started” course in BizTalk, held by John Callaway. I need to be up-to-speed by then.
More good news; I got a new laptop to play with! It’s a beast to! Not in a “heavy and loud” kinda way, but rather in specs! It’s got a 2.4GHz Dual Core CPU, 3 GB of RAM, a Nvidia Quadro FX GPU and all the bells and whistles I can think of (not really, but it’s got what I need). Works great! I’ve been mostly working on a VPC image today, no need to install BizTalk, VS2005 and Sql Server on the laptop if I can avoid it. I have installed Ditto and Launchy though! And I’m using the fingerprint scanner!
I think I need to reformat an reinstall Vista at home. So then I’ll be needing this… 😉

Not an ad! 😉 But it works well with Vista. Sweet!

Pretty cool post about speaker cables… Well worth the read, but the gist of it is this:
After 5 tests, none could determine which was the Monster 1000 cable or the coat hanger wire. Further, when music was played through the coat hanger wire, we were asked if what we heard sounded good to us. All agreed that what was heard sounded excellent
So you see; spending $1000 on speaker cables is just pure bullshit.

This is a GREAT site! It just worked! No bs, no install this and that and free! Holy cow!
What does it do you say? It will copy contacts and calendar entries from one phone, via their web site, to another phone. And it lets you update your contacts/calendar online and sync it back to the phone. Excellent! I recommend this web site! Oh, and it’s a Web 2.0 site too! hehe…
